Portrait

For my seventh and last digital photography project I took portrait pictures.

The picture I turned in is the black and white picture of the little boy. I like this picture because he is looking directly at the camera with his cute big eyes. I choose this picture for portrait because it shows the emotion in his eyes. Also, it was pretty proud to get a good picture of him looking at the camera and not running away; as most 2 year old boys do. The ISO is 200, the fsop is f/5.6, and the exposure is 1/60 sec.

Another picture I like is the silly one of my sister with her tongue sticking out. I like this picture for portrait because it's different; it shows emotion in a different way. Also, it shows my sister's personality.

A third picture I like is the one of my mom laughing at the camera on top of the tomb. I like this picture it captures the real happiness in her face, not just a fake smile. Also, what you would have never guessed is this picture is taken in a cemetery!
Hope you like my portrait pictures:)

Portrait Demo

For this Gimp assignment we had to turn in 2 pictures for portrait. One of the pictures had to be taken in the studio at our school using the different lights in the room, and the other picture had to be taken by a window so the light would come in for the picture. Also, for the window picture you needed two other people besides yourself to take the picture, one person was getting their picture taken, and the other was holding up a large white paper to bounce the light off of the window on to the persons face. This paper was used to light up the other side of the person, so there wasn't a shadow on one side. I learned a lot from this project to take portrait pictures. I learned to use the light in the picture to show a portrait picture. Hope you like this:)

Still Life Project

For my sixth digital photography project I decided to take pictures of still life. I took pictures of different objects like pumpkins, fruit and vegetables, water, trophies, and Clinique make-up.

The picture I turned in is the picture with the trophies. I like this picture because it shows still life, but in my own way. I used my baptism certificate, metals, ribbons and trophies. To get the black background I used a black sheet and set the things on a table with a light shinning on it. The ISO is 200, the fstop is f/4, and the exposure is 1/45 sec.

Another picture I like is the last one of the fruit and vegetables in a bowl and somethings in a bowl of water. To take this picture I used the same set up as the trophies picture but I gathered all the fruit and vegetables and arranged them differently. The thing I like about this picture is it is like the classic fruit still life, but in my own way.

The last picture I like is the second picture of the pumpkins. I like this picture because the gourd in the front and the medium pumpkin in the back with the weird stem gives the picture a better effect then just plain pumpkins.

Hope you like my still life:)

Context Project

For this context gimp project we had to take a picture and add different things in the picture that you would not normally see. In order to do this we had to use gimp and have a background picture with different layers for each image. I used a picture of a playground in my neighborhood and I added different Disney characters to it. I also added the Disney logo to the picture. I hope you like it:)

Motion Demo 1

For this photography assignment we had to take pictures for motion. We had one of our class members, Jordan Magenta, ride a bike past us to catch this. On our cameras we set it to manual, and the settings we used are 1/100 shutter speed, f8.0 fstop, and 80 ISO. Also to capture the motion we had to hit the capture button half way down to focus on our subject, then we moved the camera with him to create the blur motion, and when he was right in front of us we took the picture, but kept moving the camera with him to show more blur. Hope you enjoy this:)

5 Senses

For my fifth photography assignment I choose to take pictures of the 5 senses.

The picture I turned in and like a lot is the one with the little boy in black and white smelling the pink flower. I love this picture because it shows how he is smelling the flower and the pink popped out of the gives the picture an artsy feeling. The ISO is 800, the fstop is f/5.6, and the exposure is 1/90 sec.

Another picture I liked is the one of the baby hand and my finger. I changed it to black and white to give the picture more effect. I choose this picture for touch because I thought it was cool how it was a whole baby hand around one bigger finger.

One of the pictures I also liked was the one of the little boy with the lollipop. I like this one for taste because he is actually tasting the sucker at that moment. Although it was very hard to get the lollipop away from him for more pictures:)

Hope you like my 5 senses project!
